An Inconvenient Truth
directed by Davis Guggenheim
With 2005, the worst storm season ever experienced in America just behind us, it seems we may be reaching a tipping point
- and Gore pulls no punches in explaining the dire situation. Interspersed with the bracing facts and future predictions is
the story of Gore's personal journey: from an idealistic college student who first saw a massive environmental crisis looming;
to a young Senator facing a harrowing family tragedy that altered his perspective, to the man who almost became President
but instead returned to the most important cause of his life - convinced that there is still time to make a difference.

Meltdown By: Patrick J. Michaels
This spirited critique challenges the conventional doom saying about global warming. Climatologist Michaels acknowledges
that the earth is warming because of anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, but he insists
that the warming will probably be modest and that nature and humanity will easily adjust to it. Writing in a lucid, engaging
style supported by a mountain of data, he debunks such recent scare stories as melting ice caps and glaciers, intensifying
storms and droughts, species die-offs and a Day After Tomorrow–style ice age.

Music
Global Warming Sonny Rollins
This is a great new CD by Sonny Rollins. I recently say him at the Sanders Theatre in Harvard and he put on a great show.
This album is focused on saving the trees with tunes like, "Global Warming", "Mother Nature's Blues and "Echo-Side Blues"
Great back-up trombonist Clifton Anderson, backed up by a great rhythm section. Especially good is the re-working of the tune
"Island Lady" great song. - Submitted by A Music Fan
